AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1. To help the disabled, needy and other vulnerable to unearth their talents.
2. To raise the moral, spiritual and physical lives of such people by providing
Them with empowerment skills.
3. To educate the vulnerable on the importance of sanitation and the need to
Protect the water bodies around us.
4. To undertake social and public education programs on Human Right.
5. T improve the socio-economic growth of the poor through participatory
Management and strategic planning among others.
SOURCE OF FUNDING
Currently, funding is basically derived from the income o the founder and other voluntary service from the board.

BRIEF HISTORY
According to the founder, Mr. Isaiah Addison, the foundation originated sometimes in December 2000 when he paid a visit to the northern region of Ghana and came across, a physically challenged woman, who crawls on all four. He therefore had pity on her and decided to show compassion by supporting the woman both financially and materially since then, he has also donated items to needed children in schools at Bampenase in the Kumasi and other in Manfe-Akwapim in the Eastern Region.
Information gathered from primary and secondary sources revealed that, the founder has also assisted the four children of the physically challenged woman. Again, he has taken all the responsibility of a forty year old man who is also physically challenged in his lower limbs to set up a trade at Tema community 1 near evergreen supermarket. Furthermore, he gives alms to such needy and vulnerable persons as and when he comes across them in the market places and street pavements.
ACHIEVEMENTS
DISOP has provided school bags, cloths and exercise books to two schools since the NGO’s inception. It has also assisted a physically challenged to gain admission to the Accra Rehabilitation Centre near Adabraka polyclinic. DISOP has collaboration with the chief of Kpone-Katamanso, been allocated a vast tract of land for the development of a vocation centre. It has also undertaking a feeding project for 1000 children in collaboration with some missionaries from USA.
Currently the foundation has organised a feeding/registration exercise for about 350 disabled people in Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
FUTURE PLANS
1. To run a sheltered workshop for the physically challenged to acquire some Skills at Dowenya a suburb of Tema. (Skills Development Centre)
2. To adopt at least fifty (50) needy persons from Tema, Nungua and
Kpone-Katamanso, areas of the Municipality and sponsor them by the
End of 2008.
3. To establish three conflicts resolution centres in each of this three projects Intervention areas by the year 2010.
